Yang Xu, Guzheng education expert, member of the Guzheng Committee of Chinese Musicians Association (CMA), member of Guzheng Society of China Nationalities Orchestra Society (CNOS), founder and president of MoMei Chinese Music Center. Ms. Yang Xu graduated from China Conservatory under the guidance of famous guzheng master Wang Zhongshan. Her dream is to spread Chinese music and culture in the world, let more people enjoy the magical Chinese music.

Born in Yunnan province and grow in Guizhou province, Yang Xu started to learn Guzheng at six- year old and started to teach Guzheng at seventeen-year old. Playing and teaching guzheng has been a very important part of her life.

Ms. Yang Xu has studied the playing styles of different guzheng streams in China. As one of players who really understand Guzheng music, she unifies motion and emotion when she plays guzheng and brings life to musical pieces. Due to her excellent performance, she has been invited to be the soloist for World Exposition 1999 in Kunming to demonstrate Chinese music, Chinese culture, Chinese art, which was reported by CCTV, Yunnan TV, and many newspapers. She has been invited to make the guzheng track 'High Mountain and Flowing Water (Gaoshan Liushui)' for the Movie Channel of CCTV. She has visited Hong Kong as a guzheng soloist to take part in International Arts Festival. She has been invited to teach Guzheng at the Art Education Center of Tsinghua University.

Ms. Yang Xu loves guzheng education work from the bottom of her heart. She knows the different languages of children, young, old, male and female. She has her professional way to stir and promote students' interest and passion for guzheng. She is a strict teacher at classes, but a kind friend after classes. She is happy to see every student's growth in Guzheng art. Some students of her have won awards in domestic level or municipal level competitions. Some students have even been invited to serve as guzheng soloist. Her extraordinary teaching style and achievements have brought her great reputation all around Beijing.
